6th Grade Graduation

The Graduate!

Of the 6th grade anyway.   I can't believe how old and big Braxton has gotten!

It seems just like yesterday that I was holding him in my arms as an infant it is amazing how fast they grow up and boy has Braxton grown up not only in height but in intelligence and in maturity.

Braxton loves to read, he loves playing all kinds of video games and hanging out with his friends, he also has love for learning Braxton has many interests and he retains information like a walking computer.

Braxton was also asked to give the 6th grade promotion speech which I am going to include now.
Braxton's Speech:

I think 6th grade has helped us in so many ways we cannot even
begin to understand.  We don't totally understand the impact it really has had on us.
It's like trying to understand just how big our universe is.
So let me try to bring it down to scale.

6th grade has helped us to be more responsible, mature, respectful, and prepared for the future.
As 6th grade went by, we became more aware to reality.  We can't be a kid forever, so I think that 6th grade has helped us for teen hood.  It helped us grow and come out of our shells. It reminds me of an old Chinese proverb,

A frog in a well can only see part of the world, but if it comes out of the well, it can see more of the world.
I like to think of us as the frog and our shell as the well, if we come out of our shell we see more of the world.

I also feel that 6th grade has given us many treasured memories.
For instance Shakespeare. It was so fun to reenact his plays and bring his words to life again.
It also helped our classroom become one.
Almost like a family. I also think that we all really bonded together this year and made a lot of new friends.

In conclusion 6th grade has prepared us for our future and what lies ahead as we continue on in our lives.
I would really like to thank the teachers for making the world better in their own way.
We would not be here without you.
Thank you!

Braxton has really grown into quiet the young man, and I know that he is going to succeed in everything that he does.

We love you very much, and know that we will always be here for you no matter what!

Another Year

I can not believe that another year has gone by and my kids are even older and bigger!

Braxton is now 12 years old and graduating elementary school!  Wow I can't believe he's going to be in Jr. High School.

Rylee is going into the 5th grade and boy is she blooming into a beautiful young lady.

Ethan is getting tall and thanks to Robyn going into 2nd grade and boy was this year a challenging one with Ethan.

This summer should be a great one Braxton's 6th grade class was invited to preform in the Shakespearean Festival this year so in July we will be going to Cedar City to watch them preform.  Braxton's going to play Hamlet the same role he preformed earlier this year and I must say did an awesome job at and he seems to be a natural at acting and he really enjoys it as well.

I hope this summer goes as well as last year.

And I hope to be better at up dating my blog this year!

Lazy Days

As with any Summer break comes the lazy days of
laying around,
riding bikes,
swimming in the back yard pool,
and hanging out with friends.

Oh how I wish that I could go back to those lazy days!

Summer nights are the best!  Relaxing in a comfortable chair and watching the world go by without a care in the world that's what lazy days are about.
Ah I wounder what's going on in those blue eye's!!!

And lazy days can turn into mischievous night's and these two are always up to no good!!

Everyone should  have a lazy day every once in a while.

4th of July

WOW!!

Even I was impressed by our fireworks display this year at my Mom's house.

You go Dad!

Ya if you believe that then I really could write Fiction!

Our display was a little more down scale and I will get to that later.

But first our day started early on the 3rd of July because as everyone knows if you live in Utah and the 4th falls on a Sunday you celebrate all the major festivity's on the day before. Which puts us on Saturday July 3rd.
The Murray Parade has been a family tradition since I was a kid and so we carried it over to our children. Some would say that's torture and in some ways I have to agree but I think the torture is all on my side since I have to get up at the butt ass crack of dawn to fight off other crazy freaks for a small spot on State Street.
But the kids love it and I think the love is more for the fight over the candy being lobbed in there general direction then it is for the pretty floats or the big jeeps, or mini horses.
I personally just love watching the kids and the smiles of satisfaction they get knowing they beat out the other kid for that smashed piece of taffy they got just for you.
Awwww the love of a child.

After the Parade we headed home for a little R & R. Naps for Mom & Dad and do what you want but be quiet or I will kill you time for the kids.
Hey don't judge I know every parent out there has done the same thing.

Later around 6:00 pm we headed to the Anderson home stead where we engorged ourselves with pulled pork sandwiches, a awesome noodle salad, fresh watermelon & cantaloupe, chips & drinks and for desert Alecia made 2 pies a Raspberry Tart, and a Peach Cobbler type one they were both to die for.
After we were so full you had to roll all of us out to the front lawn for our amazing $40.00 fireworks display. Which Ross did an amazing job putting on.
The kids were in total awe and even I was a little relaxed watching all the fun.
When our display was over we cleaned up and headed over to Grandma Honey's house to watch Murray's finest put on their Grand Finale for the Year.

Just about everyone was there and Bella was sooo excited to see her favorite person Ethan it was nice to be able to spend this fine day with all of our different parts of the family.

We certainly are lucky to have the freedoms that we have and I only hope that our children's children are able to have the same.

Happy 4th of July

Time Fly's

Oh how I have let life and time get away from me!

Months have flown by, Holidays come and gone, and yet life is still going on around me like I'm standing still.

The kids are know out of school for the next couple of months and I have been working more. I start back to work full time the first of August, I'm excited for more hours because that means more money and in turn more freedom for us to do more things.

This summer we plan to do some camping, we want to go to the zoo, go to some Bee's games, and do a lot of swimming in the backyard.
We also plan on turning in the family Ford P.O.S ( piece of shit ) for a new nicer vehicle that tows this summer as well.

This family has a lot of fun things planed for the summer and this time I plan to keep everyone informed as much as humanly possible.

The first planned event is the 4th of July, the Murray Parade is on Saturday the 3rd at 8:00 am and I (like every year) will be there at 6:00 am to save spots for all the lazy's in the family.

And this chick is armed so look out to all those who like to come at the last minute and plant their fat ass's down in front of me!

After that later in the day we will have a BBQ and Fireworks with the family.
I'll post later about the day with pic's and all.

Well that's all for now.

Fall

Well I think summer has finally left us.......no more warm afternoons, no more sunning my legs while Ethan plays outside. Oh I'm sure my neighbor's are happy about that. Whales on land...not a pretty site.
It's hard to go from 88 degree's to 60 degree's over night. My kids are having the hardest time with it they still think it's summer...........tring to sneak outside with shorts on and no jacket's!

And they wonder every time how I know when I in my room catch them by yelling YOU ARE NOT WEARING THAT OUT SIDE TRY AGAIN! And their response is how did you know?
Really did you just say that! How did I know! Do I have stupid written on my head. How did I know! I was a kid once and I did the exact same shit. Mother's are not as stupid as they look!

My own mother is probably reading this laughing her ass off saying I told you so.

Yes mom you did tell me so and I look back to when I was a child and at all the stupid things I tried to get over on you and you always new.
That eye's in the back off your head thing comes in handy sometimes I use it daily!

The only part of Fall that I honestly enjoy is the changing of the leaves......as for the cold well you can keep it.

With Fall you get your famous holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving which I love.
I love to get all the decorations out and make my home look festive the kids love it too. Fall for some reason is also when I get the baking bug I love to cook but baking is my favorite cookies, brownies, fudge, cheesecake brownies you name it I can probably bake it or try too anyway.

I have already made 2 batches of peanut butter cookies and 1 batch of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. My work loves it when I start baking because I always bring in samples.

The kids enjoy the baking experience as well. Ethan especially loves to pull up a chair and get right into the adding of ingredients and the mixing of things up he usually is in charge of the on/off button on the mixer that's his job.

I may not like the cold all that much but Fall brings a lot of great reason's to bring family together, cold rainy days are a great excuse to get the kids together to make cookies and fun Halloween pictures for the widows.

With the fun Holidays to come I am sure there will be alot more coming from the Bunnell Family

Family Fun Night At LongView Elem.

Family Fun Night at the school............... the first of many school fundraisers that my kids are just going to have to attend because every one's going to be there.

But for $10.00 our whole family got in for 2 hours of game's, dancing, a fun run ( although I have no idea what is so fun about running) and dinner!
And dinner was not bad...Subway with chips, fruit, cookie, and a drink. Not bad for 2 bucks a person.
During the games the kids are able to win raffle tickets as many as they can and at the end of the event they were having a prize drawing.

So the kids where off to play as many games as possible and gather as many tickets as possible.

Rylee and Braxton were particularly good at hula hoop and won quiet a few tickets that way.

Rylee also enjoyed the dancing event. To me it looked like a giant mosh pit of Elementary children.

Ethan on the other hand just enjoyed playing with his friends from his class on the play ground he really had no interest in any thing else.

At the end of the night at the raffle Braxton and I were the only one's from our family that got anything. Braxton got a Murray hand towel and I got a Domino's certificate for a free pizza.

Over all the night was pretty fun and kids had a blast and I am sure there are more to come
as far as fundraisers and more fun nights.

We will keep in touch
